Professor Robyn Longhurst will take up her position as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington early in 2024. She joins from the University of Waikato where she has been Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic since 2015.

Background and Research

Robyn is a human geographer by background and has held a number of senior roles nationally and internationally. In 2018 she was elected as a Fellow of Te Apārangi Royal Society of New Zealand and awarded a Laureat d’honneur by the International Geographical Union.
