Professor Ivan Marusic has been appointed the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Infrastructure) at the University of Melbourne.

Research Infrastructure 

A new position, the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Infrastructure) is responsible for strategy, policy and advice relating to research infrastructure across the University, working closely with Faculties and Chancellery for optimised whole-of-University outcomes.

Background and Research

Professor Ivan Marusic was appointed to this position in 2023. His research is in the field of fluid mechanics and he has held a number of prestigious fellowships, including an Australian Research Council (ARC) Laureate Fellowship. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society, Australasian Fluid Mechanics Society, Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering and the Australian Academy of Science.
