Ms Martine Letts has been appointed Chief Executive Officer at Asialink.

Background and Leadership

Martine joins Asialink from the Committee for Melbourne where she has been CEO since 2016. Martine is an experienced executive within the government, non-profit and international policy sectors, and was previously CEO of the Australia China Business Council, Deputy Director of the Lowy Institute for International Policy and Secretary-General of the Australian Red Cross. Martine was also a senior Australian diplomat for 17 years and an adviser to Foreign Minister Evans from 1992-1994.

She served on the Australian National University Council from 2004-2014.  She is a member of the Australian Volunteers International (AVI) board, chairs AVI’s Governance Committee and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Indigenous Runway Project. Martine speaks French, German and Spanish and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of International Affairs (FAIIA).
