Joining Asialink in October, Leigh is currently the Deputy Commissioner to South East Asia for the State Government of Victoria, based in Malaysia. The role is responsible for assisting exporters and investors connect with opportunities in the region. Before joining the Victorian Government, Leigh was a Board member and Executive Director for TradingPost.com.au, one of Australia’s biggest online classified portals. Leigh has also had an extensive career in HR consulting and HR outsourcing businesses.
Leigh is also a Foundation Board Director of AustCham ASEAN and a long-standing committee member of the Malaysia Australia Business Council (MABC). He was elected as its Chairman from 2014 to 2018. Leigh has a BA from the University of Newcastle, a Graduate Diploma in Commerce from the University of Wollongong and is a graduate of the ASEAN Senior Management Program, Harvard Business School.
